Dhaka, July 3 -- Another person has died from dengue in the past 24 hours, taking this year's death toll from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease to 45.
In the same period, 358 new dengue patients were hospitalised, pushing the total number of admissions this year to 11,456.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin on Thursday, the deceased was undergoing treatment at a hospital in the Barishal Division.
Two people receiving treatment in Dhaka over the past two days have died.
Barishal division recorded the highest number of new dengue admissions as of Thursday, with 150 new patients hospitalised.
