Dhaka, Oct. 8 -- A dazzling all-round display from Azmatullah Omarzai propelled Afghanistan to a five-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the ODI series opener at Abu Dhabi.
After claiming three crucial wickets, Omarzai played a pivotal role in the chase, contributing a quickfire 40 runs as Afghanistan successfully chased down 222 runs set by Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Afghanistan wrapped up the chase in the 48th over, with captain Hashmatullah Shahidi remaining unbeaten on 34, and veteran Mohammad Nabi (11*) sealing the win with a six off Saif Hassan.
