Dhaka, Jan. 28 -- The Non-Governmental Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has recommended appointments for 11,713 candidates against more than 67,000 teaching and lecturer posts at non-government institutions under the monthly pay order (MPO) scheme, leaving more than 55,000 positions unfilled.

The results of the seventh, or special, recruitment process were published on Wednesday.

Mostaq Ahmed, assistant director of the NTRCA's Pedagogy and Educational Standards Branch, told bdnews24.com that 18,399 people had applied in total.

"Out of them, 1,027 MPO-listed teachers have already been eliminated, as the Ministry of Education has instructed that those already working under MPO cannot apply for the same position,"...
