Bangladesh, Sept. 8 -- The body of an expatriate's wife has been recovered from a house in Noakhali's Sonaimuri Upazila, with police initially suspecting suicide after she left her husband on a video call.
Sonaimuri Police Station chief Mohammad Morshed Alam said the body was found on Sunday afternoon at the home of Shafiq Ullah in Ward No. 7 of the municipality.
The victim, 31-year-old Farida Yasmin, was the wife of Nur Nabi, a US-based expatriate from Bhanuai village in Sonaimuri Upazila.
She was the daughter of Dulal Mia of Noakhali Union in Noakhali Sadar Upazila.
Her body was sent to the morgue at Noakhali General Hospital for post-mortem, police said.
