Dhaka, Nov. 29 -- The interim government has no restrictions or objections to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's return to Bangladesh, Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has said.
Saturday's remark follows news of deteriorating health of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
He added that Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus had already expressed deep concern over the worsening health of Khaleda and had sought prayers from the nation for her recovery.
Khaleda remains in hospital in what party leaders describe as a "critical condition". Her son Tarique has spoken publicly about the "complexities" surrounding his return.
Explaining his position, Tarique said the decision was not "solely in his control".
