Dhaka, April 27 -- BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has said there is no need to carry out reforms outside what is agreed upon by all.
He made these remarks after a meeting with the Bangladesh Jatiyo Party (BJP) at the BNP Chairperson's Office in Gulshan on Sunday.
Khosru said, "We are not going to have a BAKSAL in Bangladesh. Those who believe everyone must agree on one decision, carry a BAKSAL idea like Sheikh Hasina's father did.
"Different parties will have different philosophies, thoughts, and opinions.
"Reforms can only be made where there is an agreement. Implementing anything beyond that has to come through a democratic and electoral process, it has to come with the mandate of the people."
