Dhaka, Oct. 17 -- The newly elected vice president (VP) and general secretary (GS) of the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (RUCSU) have pledged to work with all students, including those who lost in the polls.

They made the remarks outside the university's Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium shortly after the announcement of the election results on Friday.

VP-elect Mostakur Rahman Zahid from the Islami Chhatra Shibir panel urged all student representatives to work in line with the "students' mandate".

"Those who have won should celebrate the victory in accordance with their religious faith. Victory and defeat are part of elections. Together, we will build this campus."
