Dhaka, Dec. 9 -- The India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries has installed its new committee, with six members from the current Bangladeshi roster retaining positions.

Moshiur Rahman, owner of Rahman Shipping Lines, assumed the presidency of the chamber, overseeing business relations between the two neighbouring countries.

He will be joined by Meherun Nessa Islam of Conference and Exhibition Management Services (CEMS) Limited as vice-president, and Amit Kumar Tiwari of Torrecid Bangladesh Limited as a director.

The chamber held its biennial election on Nov 27, with candidates running unopposed for the 2025-2027 term. The election schedule had been announced on Sept 11.
