Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- The National Citizen Party (NCP), formed by leaders of the July 2024 mass uprising, has won six seats in Thursday's parliamentary elections.

The party contested 30 constituencies as part of the Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance.

Among those elected are party Convenor Nahid Islam in Dhaka-11 and Southern Region Chief Organiser Hasnat Abdullah in Cumilla-4. The other winners are Abdullah Al-Amin in Narayanganj-4, Akhter Hossen in Rangpur-4, Atiqur Rahman Mujahid in Kurigram-2 and Senior Joint Convenor Abdul Hannan Masud in Noakhali-6.
