Dhaka, Jan. 2 -- NCP leader Abdul Hannan Masud owns five times more wealth than his father, an analysis of affidavits filed by the father-son duo has revealed.
Hannan, 26, is the senior joint chief convenor of the National Citizen Party (NCP).
Both him and his father, Amirul Islam Mohammad Abdul Malek, have filed the affidavits along with their nomination papers for the Noakhali-6 (Hatia) constituency.
Hannan's annual income is also three times greater than Amirul's, who is contesting in the polls from a separate party.
The affidavits said Amirul's primary source of income is agriculture, while Hannan is involved in business.
In his affidavit, Hannan Masud says he earns Tk 600,000 a year from business.
