Dhaka, June 21 -- The National Citizen Party (NCP) has ratified its constitution, imposing term limits on its leadership and establishing a streamlined organisational structure as it moves to secure electoral registration.

The decision came at the party's general meeting on Friday, said Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain at a press conference at NCP's temporary office in Dhaka's Banglamotor.

According to him, the central president and general secretary will be elected separately by councillors from across the country.

No individual will be allowed to serve in either role more than twice in their lifetime.
