Dhaka, March 4 -- National Citizen Party Convenor Nahid Islam has called for swift adjudication of the "mass murder and oppression of students and citizens" by the Sheikh Hasina regime during the July uprising.

On Tuesday, leaders and activists of the NCP visited the graves of those martyred in the mass uprising in Dhaka's Rayer Bazar.

They also paid tribute at Savar's National Martyrs' Monument earlier in the morning as part of the first programme since the NCP was launched.

"The suffering of those who sacrificed themselves and were injured can be alleviated to an extent through justice. This justice should serve as an example, so that fascism does not emerge again," Nahid said.
