Dhaka, May 8 -- The National Citizen Party (NCP) has called for heightened vigilance on the border, expressing concern that the fugitive Awami League leaders and activists could create unrest by taking advantage of the war situation between India and Pakistan.

In a statement on Wednesday, the NCP also called on all "anti-fascist" political parties to unite to protect the country's sovereignty in this situation.

In response to the terrorist attack on tourists in Kashmir, India launched missile strikes on multiple targets in Pakistan late on Tuesday night.

India fired missiles into several locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, killing at least 26 people, including a child, according to Pakistani officials.
