Dhaka, Oct. 15 -- The National Citizen Party Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain has said that the July National Charter can only be implemented properly if everything is "made clear" to the nation before it is signed, "fulfilling all expectations".

He made the remarks at an emergency meeting of the National Consensus Commission on Wednesday evening, chaired by the chief advisor.

"We want the path to implementing the July Charter to be clarified before we move forward with signing it," Akhtar said.

Although the government is preparing to sign the July Charter on Friday, political parties remain divided over how it should be implemented.
