Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- The national flag has been hoisted at the Awami League office in Bogura's Shajahanpur Upazila after nearly 19 months.

Witnesses said a group of activists from the Awami League and its affiliate organisations raised the flag around 6:30am before quickly fleeing the scene.

The incident has sparked widespread curiosity and debate across the Upazila, particularly on social media, on the activities of the party following its ouster from power.

Shajahanpur Police chief Towhidul Islam said they launched an investigation into the matter after some unidentified individuals hoisted the flag.

This is not an isolated incident in the district.
