Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- Leaders of the Anti-discrimination Students Movement and the National Citizens' Committee have decided on a name for a fresh political party - the National Citizen Party, or NCP - with Nahid Islam as convenor and Akhtar Hossain as member secretary.

Nasir Uddin Patwary will be its chief coordinator with Hasnat Abdullah as chief convenor of the southern region, while Sarjis Alam's role will be as chief convenor of the northern region of the country, according to a Facebook post by the National Citizens' Committee on Thursday 5:56pm.

The name was set after meetings held at the National Citizens' Committee's office at Banglamotor earlier on Thursday afternoon.
