Dhaka, Jan. 13 -- No improvement has been noted in the condition of 9-year-old Huzaifa Afnan, who was hit by gunfire from across the Myanmar border in Teknaf. She is still on life support at the ICU of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Doctors said a part of her skull has been opened to relieve pressure on the brain. A medical board meeting was also held on Tuesday around 11am to review the progress of her treatment.

Meanwhile, the administration will take Huzaifa to Dhaka for advanced treatment.

Dr Harunur Rashid, head of the ICU department at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, told bdnews24.com that Huzaifa's physical condition remains critical.

He said a part of the skull was left open, but it should not cause any issue.
