Dhaka, Jan. 22 -- A slain July activist's father has died in a road accident in Nasirnagar.
Local police chief Shahinul Islam said the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon when a motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup van at Dhoronti on the Nasirnagar-Sarail road.
The 55-year-old Choyab Mia, from Rampur village in Goalnagar, was travelling on the motorcycle to attend the rally held by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman at the Kuttapara ground in Sarail.
He was the father of Imran, an activist identified with a single name who was killed in the July Uprising.
BNP candidate from Brahmanbaria-1 constituency MA Hannan told bdnews24.com that Tarique was supposed to meet the slain July activists' families during his visit.
