Dhaka, Nov. 24 -- A motorcycle has drifted out of control and fatally crashed into a tree, killing two of the riders in Chuadanga.

The incident occurred around 2:30pm on Monday, said Damurhuda Model Police chief Humayun Kabir.

The victims were identified as 22-year-old Selim Hossain and his friend 23-year-old Tanzil, identified with a single name, from the Upazila's Loknathpur village.

According to police and witnesses, the duo were travelling on the motorcycle from Loknathpur towards Kadipur when they lost control of the vehicle.

Selim died on the spot after being thrown onto the road.

Locals took Tanzil to Chuadanga General Hospital, where he died in the afternoon while undergoing treatment.
