Dhaka, Feb. 4 -- The voter list update process has found information on over 1 million dead voters, who will be removed from the existing record.

During the 2022 update, a maximum of 2.2 million dead voters were excluded.

As of Sunday, data from nearly 3.5 million eligible citizens has been collected through the ongoing revision.

Election Commission Additional Secretary KM Ali Newaz and National Identity Registration Wing Director General ASM Humayun Kabir provided these details.

Monday marked the final day of the update process, with the complete data set to be disclosed on Tuesday.

The Election Commission began collecting data for the electoral roll update through door-to-door visits on Jan 20.
