Dhaka, May 28 -- The low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a "well-marked low", which will lead to more rain across the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Rain is forecast for the next two to three days starting on Thursday, said Meteorologist Kazi Zebunnesa on Wednesday.
There will be more rainfall to the west of the country.
"[The rain] will slowly decrease, but it will not stop completely. The monsoon is already set. Some rain is to be expected now."
The meteorologist says that the well-marked low could even develop into a depression, but it is unlikely that the weather system will move towards Bangladesh.
