Dhaka, Dec. 24 -- The Election Commission (EC), led by Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin, has heard detailed assessments from the central and field administration and law-enforcing agencies on the prevailing law and order situation ahead of parliamentary elections.
At the meeting on Tuesday, the commission reviewed security preparedness alongside issuing a set of directives aimed at delivering what it described as a "historic model election", urging officials to act decisively against any attempts to undermine the process.
