Dhaka, July 28 -- After a 10-day outage, Bangladesh is set to restore mobile internet services at 3pm on Sunday.
State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak made the announcement after meeting with the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh, or AMTOB, on Sunday morning.
"We have taken the decision to restore 4G network connectivity from 3pm today," he said.
The state minister acknowledged that mobile internet users had not been able to use the data packages they had paid for.
It was decided during the meeting with operators that every mobile internet user would receive a 5 GB data bonus for a period of three days.
