Dhaka, May 13 -- The body of a five-year-old girl has been found at a garbage dump a day after she went missing from Tejkunipara in Dhaka's Tejgaon Thana area.
Police recovered the body from the capital's Bijoy Sarani on Tuesday and sent it to the morgue at Suhrawardy Medical College for an autopsy.
The child - named Roza Moni - had gone missing late on Monday afternoon. Her family and neighbours searched for her in different places, even using a megaphone to make public announcements regarding her disappearance.
Around 11am on Tuesday, locals searched inside a sack abandoned in a garbage dump underneath the flyover at Bijoy Sarani and found the child's body. Burn marks were spotted on the corpse.
