Dhaka, Dec. 22 -- The Sankhyalaghu Oikyo Morcha, a minority rights group, has staged a human-chain protest demanding justice over the killing of garment factory worker Dipu Chandra Das in Mymensingh's Bhaluka.

The protest rally was held on Monday morning in front of the National Press Club in Dhaka, where members of the Hindu community carried placards condemning the murder and calling for the punishment of those responsible.

Nirmal Rosario, president of the Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikyo Parishad, said the killing was a "heinous crime" and urged the authorities to ensure swift justice.

"We strongly demand that those involved in this incident be brought to justice," he said.
