Dhaka, July 7 -- Police have recovered the body of an unidentified man with his hands and feet tied and a cloth belt wrapped around his neck from Dhaka's Demra.

The body of the man, clad in a black T-shirt and olive-coloured trousers, was found on a road in Amulia Model Town on Sunday night, according to police.

Police suspect the man, believed to be around 26 years old, was killed and dumped at the location by unknown individuals.

Alerted by locals, law enforcers retrieved the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy early on Monday morning, according to Sub-Inspector Dipankar Kumar Debnath of Demra Police Station.
