Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- A man arrested in connection with the killing of Jubo Dal leader Golam Kibria in Dhaka's Pallabi has reportedly died while in the custody of the Detective Branch (DB) of police.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that 40-year-old Moktar Hossain was declared dead at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Friday morning. He had been taken there after officers reportedly found him unresponsive in custody.

Kibria was shot dead on Nov 17 when three masked and helmeted assailants entered a hardware shop in Pallabi's Block C and opened fire at close range. He was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, where he was declared dead.
