Dhaka, Dec. 12 -- Police have arrested a man over his suspected involvement in the killing of freedom fighter Jagesh Chandra Roy and his wife Suborna Roy in Rangpur's Taraganj Upazila.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Morsalin, was arrested in Alampur Union's Shermast Balapara area on Friday morning, according to Taraganj Police Station Sub-Inspector Abu Saiyum Talukder, who is investigating the case.

Morsalin worked as a mason's assistant and had recently carried out tiling work at the couple's home, said SI Abu Saiyum.

"Two days before the murder, Morsalin worked to fix tiles at the house of Jagesh Chandra. He was arrested based on this information."
