Dhaka, Feb. 16 -- Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu has left for Dhaka to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Bangladesh's new government.
A statement from the President's Office on Monday evening said Muizzu is travelling at the invitation of Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus.
During the three-day visit, which will end on Feb 18, Muizzu is set to meet with the newly elected prime minister, the statement said.
The president is accompanied by a high-level delegation.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Bangladesh were established on Sept 22, 1978.
