Dhaka, Oct. 1 -- Malaysia is looking to attract more than 300,000 Bangladeshi tourists in 2026 after recording 185,000 visitors in the first eight months of 2025.
The country's Deputy Tourism Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan announced the target at a media briefing in Kuala Lumpur during the inaugural ceremony of the Global Travel Meet 2025 on Wednesday.
The announcement comes as Bangladeshi travellers face increasing difficulties in securing tourist visas to several countries, including India.
Malaysia, meanwhile, has sought to position itself as an accessible destination, offering medical, educational and travel opportunities for Bangladeshis.
