Dhaka, June 6 -- Traffic has slowed to a crawl along a 30-km stretch of the Dhaka-Tangail Highway as the holiday travel rush continued apace on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
On Friday, long queues of vehicles were seen from the Jamuna Bridge up to the Korotia Bypass.
The congestion left hundreds of vehicles stranded, causing untold hardship for travellers young and old.
Elsewhere, lines of vehicles also stretched from the Jamuna Bridge to Rabna Bypass. Although the situation was not as severe there, traffic was still moving very slowly.
