Lawyer Humayra Noor confirmed the appeal was filed on Monday.

Humayra, who is representing Mamunur in court, said they sought a stay on the Election Tribunal's verdict declaring Ishraque as the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and the proceedings of the Election Commission's gazette, where the BNP leader was named as mayor.
