Bangladesh, Sept. 3 -- Former textile and jute minister Abdul Latif Siddique, who was arrested in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act, has sought bail, along with seven others.

Their lawyer, Kayes Ahmed Arnab, submitted a bail petition on their behalf at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Wednesday morning.

"The bail hearing will be held at noon," Kayes Ahmed said.

"I hope they will get bail."

The other accused who applied for bail are Golam Mostafa, Zakir Hossain, Md Toushiful Bari Khan, Amir Hossain Sumon, Md Shafiqul Islam Delwar and Abdullahil Qayyum.
