Dhaka, Dec. 4 -- BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be flown to London for advanced medical treatment from Dhaka's Evercare Hospital, where she has been receiving care for a severe lung infection and multiple critical health complications.

According to her personal physician Prof AZM Zahid Hossain, the transfer is scheduled to take place around midnight on Thursday or in the wee hours of Friday.

She will be flown aboard a special air ambulance provided by the Emir of Qatar.

The decision to use the Qatar royal aircraft was made by her son, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, party sources confirmed.
