Dhaka, Dec. 31 -- The body of Bangladesh's former prime minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia has arrived at her residence in the capital's Gulshan area.

Her coffin was taken from Evercare Hospital to the house at 196 Gulshan Avenue, known as Feroza. The ambulance carrying her body reached the residence at 9:17am on Wednesday.

The motorcade left Evercare Hospital under tight security, travelling via the July 36 Expressway and passing the Navy Headquarters before arriving in Gulshan.
