Dhaka, Dec. 31 -- Senior journalist Muzzammil Husain Monju has described the leadership of former prime minister Khaleda Zia as "extraordinary", saying it was under her stewardship that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) emerged as a major political force.
The political analyst made the remarks while taking part in a live bdnews24.com discussion during Khaleda's funeral prayers and burial.
Recalling her legacy, Muzzammil said: "We have bid farewell to Begum Khaleda Zia; the nation has bid her farewell. But a political figure will inevitably remain a subject of discussion.
