Dhaka, July 1 -- BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has called for unwavering unity to consolidate democracy, urging swift justice for victims of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and political violence.

Speaking virtually from her Gulshan residence "Firoza" on Tuesday, she opposed any delay in transforming the democratic system that has begun to emerge.

"Employment must be created, people's security ensured, and above all, the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh must be protected."
