Dhaka, April 18 -- The joint forces have launched an operation to rescue five students of Chittagong University (CU) who went missing in Khagrachhari.
The rescuers have been conducting a drive in Madhupur, Pankhaiya Para, Chabai Sarak and Noapara in the district since early Friday morning, said Md Arefin Jewel, superintendent of Khagrachhari police.
During their patrols in these localities, the joint forces questioned suspicious people.
"We're trying to rescue the abductees. In addition, we've set up searches at Khagrachhari-Chattogram, Khagrachhari-Dhaka and Khagrachhari-Rangamati routes. The drive will continue," he said.
