Dhaka, Nov. 14 -- The Bangladesh Judicial Service Association is pressing for a two-point list of demands, including immediate deployment of adequate security forces at every court in the country, at the residences of judges and during their travel.

The demand was placed in a statement signed by Judicial Service Association President Md Amirul Islam and Secretary General Muhammad Mazharul Islam on Friday.

The statement also demanded that the police personnel who presented the accused involved in the Rajshahi incident and were arrested for negligence in ensuring the security of the judge, defying the law and exhibiting unprofessionalism, must face stringent action.
