Dhaka, Jan. 7 -- Initial results from 18 polling centres in the Jagannath University Central Students' Union (JnUCSU) elections show a neck-and-neck battle for several top positions.

Candidates from the Oikkoboddho Nirbhik Jobian panel, backed by Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, are leading for the VP post, while the Odommo Jobian Oikko panel, supported by Islami Chhatra Shibir, holds the lead for the general secretary and assistant general secretary positions.

At 7:30am on Wednesday, three members of the Election Commission initially announced the results for four centres, followed shortly by results from a further three.
