Dhaka, Dec. 31 -- All programmes marking the 40th founding anniversary of the Jatiya Party have been postponed following the declaration of state mourning over the death of BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia.
The decision was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The party's founding anniversary was scheduled to be observed on Thursday.
According to the statement, the postponement was ordered by the Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader in view of the three-day state mourning declared by the government.
