Dhaka, Feb. 4 -- Jamaat-e-Islami has announced its election manifesto before the national election.
The manifesto was unveiled on Wednesday at Hotel Sheraton in Dhaka's Banani by the party chief Shafiqur Rahman.
Jamaat is contesting in the polls as part of an 11-party alliance.
In a video presentation at the start of the event, the party said the manifesto outlines commitments across 26 areas under 10 broad points.
Leaders of political parties, business figures, diplomats, and Jamaat's professional supporters -- including teachers, lawyers and doctors -- were present at the event.
The programme began with a recitation from the Quran, followed by the screening of a video presentation.
