Dhaka, Feb. 4 -- Jamaat-e-Islami chief Shafiqur Rahman says a group is conspiring against him, alleging that his X account was hacked as part of a coordinated effort to target him.
Speaking at an election rally at the Kurigram Government College ground on Wednesday around 12:30pm, Shafiqur said his account had been compromised four days earlier and used to spread misleading content.
"Now a group is after me," he said.
"They hacked my X ID and began their activities. Then another group immediately joined in and began spreading things in the same manner. Shame!"
He claimed the attempt had failed, saying Jamaat's cyber team had identified those involved.
