Dhaka, Jan. 15 -- The 11-party alliance led by Jamaat-e-Islami has finalised a seat-sharing plan for the general election.

Specific seats have been left for Islami Andolan candidates despite concerns about the party leaving the alliance earlier in the day.

Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis chief Mamunul Haque said a press conference will be held to announce the details of the seat-sharing plan.

Leaders from 10 parties in the alliance -- aside from Islami Andolan -- met at Jamaat-e-Islami's central office on Thursday afternoon.

The emergency meeting came together to decide on the final seat-sharing plan for the parliamentary polls.
