Dhaka, Dec. 15 -- At least 20 people have suffered injuries in repeated clashes between the Jamaat-e-Islami and BNP activists in Bhola's Charfesson Upazila.
The incident occurred at Chawkbazar in Zinnagor Union on Monday, according to Charfesson Police chief (OC) Jahangir Badshah.
The clash escalated further when the injured were brought to the Upazila Health Complex, where members from both parties again confronted each other on the hospital grounds.
Police eventually arrived and brought the situation under control.
Jamaat leaders said they were sitting in a medicine shop run by one of their activists named Jamal, identified by a single name, in Chawkbazar after a public outreach drive.
