Dhaka, Feb. 1 -- A suspect in a murder case has allegedly escaped from Brahmanbaria District Jail using the bail papers of another inmate and committing "identity fraud".

A case has been filed against the absconding suspect and several other inmates, while six prison guards have been temporarily suspended over negligence of duty.

Jailer Manzurul Islam filed the case with Sadar Model Police Station on Thursday, said Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station chief (OC) Md Shahidul Islam.

The escaped inmate, Hridoy, is accused in a murder case filed with Akhaura Police Station and a resident of Kasba Upazila.
