Dhaka, Dec. 30 -- Jagannath University is set to hold its first-ever central students' union election, two decades after becoming a full-fledged university.
Alongside the election to the Jagannath University Central Students' Union (JnUCSU), students of the Old Dhaka-based university will also elect representatives to the students' union of its only hall, Nawab Faizunnesa Chowdhurani Hall.
A total of 16,500 students are scheduled to vote on Tuesday to elect 23 representatives.
Polling will take place from 8:30am to 3pm at 178 booths across 39 centres set up in five university buildings.
Student organisations, including the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Islami Chhatra Shibir, are contesting in the election under four panels.
