Dhaka, Nov. 30 -- Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has celebrated the 10th anniversary of Saima Hall, a landmark residential facility offering free accommodation, meals, and higher education to underprivileged female students from remote and economically marginalised regions.
Saima Hall remains the first and only fully-funded residential hostel for disadvantaged women among private universities in Bangladesh, according to a statement.
A commemorative event was held on Saturday at IUB's Bashundhara campus, featuring music and dance performances by current residents of the hall, who are enrolled across different departments.
