Dhaka, March 20 -- The advisory council has approved the revised Public Procurement Ordinance designed to dismantle the syndicate and increase transparency in the government procurement process.
As a result of the new amendment, 100 percent of the tenders will be online.
The provision rejecting tender proposals priced 10 percent lower than estimated is removed.
The advisory council met on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus, where the Public Procurement (Amendment) Ordinance was approved.
