Dhaka, Jan. 12 -- Activists from the Inqilab Moncho have thrown eggs at the prison van carrying former ICT state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak during.

The incident occurred in front of the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's court on Monday afternoon.

The leaders and activists of the group chanted anti-Awami League slogans at the time.

Badda Police Station Sub-Inspector Golam Kibria Khan petitioned on Dec 24 to show Palak arrested in a case over the attempted killing of Durjoy Ahmed in Dhaka's Badda during the July Uprising. The court had set Jan 7 for the hearing. However, Palak was not produced in court that day. Therefore, a new date was fixed for Monday.
